The 2 Johns E-Safety- Parent Partnership Meeting

Last Wednesday Parents, children and staff were fortunate enough to participate in an e-safety workshop. The workshop gave pupils, parents and staff a better understanding of how to stay safe and support children online without restricting the use of technology.

It is important to know what to do and say to support our children whilst also preparing them for the digital world.

Year 3 - Forest Schools - Week 6

Year 3 were keen to be back in the forest this afternoon. We started off with partners and blindfolds to play ‘find your tree’. Then we got creative, drawing with chalk and charcoal, making forest guardians on the trees and some ground pictures. We also made clay woodland animals including foxes, birds and hedgehogs. To reflect on our learning and enjoy the fresh air we finished off with some forest bathing.

Well done Year 3!

Year 1 go wild!

This term, year one have been learning about animals in Science and had some interesting visitors this week to consolidate their learning. The children have learnt about classification, animals' eating habits and their habitats. Amber and Katie from World Science kindly introduced the children to Barry the bearded dragon, Sally the snake, Millie the millipede, Freda the frog, Colin the cockroach and Steve the scorpion. The brave children had the chance to hold or touch the animals, sharing their knowledge with Amber and Katie as well as asking some interesting questions.

'Freda is slimy!' Callum shrieked.
