Year 4 also wanted to make sure that just in case anyone gets some new technology over Christmas they know the fundamental rules everyone must remember!

Year 1 Tree Hunt

In Science, we have been learning about trees. We learned that deciduous trees lose their leaves in the winter and evergreen trees keep their leaves all year round. We also learned the names of some common types of tree, like horse chestnut, oak, holly and pine and found out that we can look at the shape of the leaves on a tree to find out what it is. We then went on a tree hunt around the school, looking for common types of trees and taking a picture of their leaves with the iPads.
