Kenya's attendance treat!

For Kenya's amazing attendance we were rewarded a Popcorn party! So we voted for a film to watch with our snacks. We turned the lights off and gathered our chairs onto the carpet - it was like a real cinema. It was great fun! (and very yummy)

Well done Kenya, keep up the great attendance.

Egypt Attendance Art lesson!

Egypt Class got to role the Attendance-opoly and were delighted when they landed on a bonus art lesson. We used felt tip pens to draw our colourful background. Adding water created a beautiful watercolour effect and made this come to life. We used simple short lines to add depth to our bunny and then combined the two. The children were so calm and focused during this activity that they earned extra marbles for their marble jar! Well done Egypt 🏆

Egypt Attendance Rewards

Egypt has worked hard on their attendance which has seen them meeting their target for the past few weeks. The children were lucky enough to enjoy cupcakes for one of their rewards. The previous week when we rolled the dice, Egypt landed on an extra art lesson. Egypt explored warm and cool colours and how they can be used as a contrast to help make parts of their pictures stand out. They chose from a butterfly, a fish or the sun and moon. The class showed that their art skills are better than Miss Gibson’s. Have a look at some of the children’s pieces of artwork. Well done Egypt on your attendance achievements.

Year 2 Attendance Awards

Some classes in year 2 received some
more fun rewards for beating their attendance targets.

Madagascar had music whilst working and more Ipad time.  During their Ipad time they consolidated their learning about healthy eating by playing a Kahoot quiz. They loved the quick fire questions and watching their team go up the leader board.  The winning pair were Kavi and Nathan N.

In Morocco they got to have extra playtime in a different play area and they selected the Year 1 playground.

'I love attendance-opoly because we get to have lots of treats if we come to school,' said Nancy.
Well done everyone!

Egypt Wins Attendance-oply

Egypt were lucky enough to roll the Attendance-oply dice and were rewarded with parachute time. They enjoyed being able to go underneath the huge parachute and playing cat and mouse. We had a few clever mice that managed to outsmart the cunning cats. Well done Egypt on your attendance.

Madagascar roll the dice!

Last week Madagascar got to roll the dice to move on the Attendance-opoly board because they beat their target. We landed on afternoon tea treat with Mrs Pidgeon. We enjoyed our refreshments and biscuits with our favourite songs playing in the background.

We did it again this week too and we will be having hot chocolate with Ms Holmes!

Keep up the good work Madagascar!

'You can't come to school if you are ill but you must if you are well as it is fun', said Shree.

Egypt beats attendance target.

Egypt beat their target for attendance and had the opportunity to roll the dice and move around the Attend-oply board. We were lucky enough to land on the square allowing the class to have a non-uniform day.  Let's do it again Egypt.

Madagascar did it again!

Last Thursday Magagascar had another reward for their high attendance percentage for the previous week. We landed on the 'decorate biscuits' square on the Attend-opoly board and here we are having fun doing just that!

Melted chocolate just had to be part of the delicious experience!

"We love coming to school" echoed the children.

Attendance treats for Madagascar!

Congratulations to Madagascar who beat their attendance target again last week! It is clear they enjoy school and the week was filled with fun experiences.

The week started with Odd Sock Day for Anti-bullying week where we explored kindness and our uniqueness. Then on Wednesday they got to attend a performance of The Aladdin pantomime here at school. On Friday to show our support for Children in Need we had a PJs for Pudsey day and the children  came to school dressed in their pyjamas and dressing gowns. There wasn't any opportunity for sleep though as they had two more treats for their great attendance over the last two weeks. First the children got to swap play areas with year 1 and then they were provided with bubbles to enhance the fun. Madagascar have already achieved many other treats on the Attendance-opoly board this term like cake and squash with Mrs Pidgeon, Hot chocolate and story time with Mr Denchfield and music while they work.

Keep up the good work Madagascar and thank you parents and carers for also making this happen.
