Summer 2 Week 7

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope you are having a lovely weekend and are enjoying all the sporting events.

We had a lovely week last week with our class picnics and our inflatable morning.

We hope you enjoyed reading your child`s report. We would very much appreciate you completing the parent`s response page as we very much value your feedback.
 
With our continued heatwave, please ensure your child comes to school with a sun hat, sun cream and water bottle. 

Viv from Harold Hill library came in last week. It would be great to see as many of you taking part in the Summer Reading challenge that has now begun at all of the Havering libraries. We look forward to awarding lots of medals when we come back in the Autumn term.

We also run a scheme called `Get caught reading` where you send us photos of your child reading on their holiday or on a day out or even at home. It doesn't matter where you are just remember to `Get Caught Reading`.
 
This week is Week 1 of the Havering catering services. Monday's choices are:


Red- Pork Sausages with Mash Potato

Blue- Tuna & Sweetcorn Baguette

Green-Cheesy Leek Pasta


Dates for your Diary:
Monday 16th July-Parents Meetings – If there is anything you wish to discuss after receiving your child’s report the school will be open until 6.00

Tuesday 17th July-Parent`s Stay and Read session-8.30-8.55
Reception are inviting parents to come and join us for our last reading morning which is taking place on Tuesday 17th July We are asking parents to come and join their child in their classes for a few minutes to read a book to them or with them.
Please feel free to bring along your favourite book to read from home

Thursday 19th July-Class Parties





We are asking each class to bring in an item of food which will then be shared across the classes:
St Lucia-Crisps
Barbados-savoury snacks
Jamaica-Cakes
 
 
Please note we would also appreciate any healthy snacks such as fruit to accompany our party food.
Children are not required to wear party clothes
 

Friday 20th July -School closes for summer at 3pm

New Term Reminders

Pupils return to school on Wednesday 5th September (Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th September are inset days)
