This month we recognise Black History Month and in Year 2 we have been reading the book Sulwe by Lupita Nyong'o.
The children really enjoyed this story and here is what they said about the message of the story:
"It helped me to see how beautiful things can be in the dark like fireworks"
"It shows us that it is good to be different"
"No matter what you look like on the outside, it is who you are on the inside that matters"
