Kenya and Egypt Fire Station Visit

Today, Kenya and Egypt classes had an exciting visit to Harold Hill Fire Station as part of their History learning on The Great Fire of London. The trip was full of hands-on experiences that gave students a glimpse into modern firefighting, connecting it to the historical event they've been studying.

The children were thrilled to sit inside a real fire truck and learn about the advanced tools used today compared to the simple equipment from 1666. They even got to hold hoses, try on helmets, and ask firefighters about their work.

A tour of the staffroom gave the students a look behind the scenes, but the highlight of the day was watching a firefighter come down the fireman’s pole—an exciting moment for everyone!

This visit brought history to life, and we thank the team at Harold Hill Fire Station for such a memorable experience!
