Today, Madagascar class had an exciting visit to Harold Hill Fire Station as part of their History learning on The Great Fire of London. The trip was full of hands-on experiences that gave students a glimpse into modern firefighting, connecting it to the historical event they've been studying.
The children were thrilled to sit inside a real fire truck and learn about the advanced tools used today compared to the simple equipment from 1666.
A tour of the staffroom gave the children a look behind the scenes, but the highlight of the day was watching a firefighter come down the fireman’s pole—an exciting moment for everyone!
This visit brought history to life, and we thank the team at Harold Hill Fire Station for such a memorable experience!
