Weekly Newsletter - Important Information
Friday 25th October 2024
Dear Parents and carers,
Well done to all of the children on their first successful half term of this year. The children have been a credit to our school, continually following the Mead Creed by being Ready, Respectful and safe. Next half term we have lots of trips and events planned and will send further information after half term. The children return to school on Tuesday 5th November and we look forward to hearing all about their half term break.
Goodbye and Goodluck
Today we said goodbye and good luck to Mrs Tull who has worked at Mead for over 18 years, working with and making a difference to so many children during her time here. Mrs Tull will be a huge loss to Mead. I am sure that you will all join me in thanking her for years of dedication and support to every single child that she has worked with. We wish her all the best for the next part of her journey.
Goodluck to Mrs Murray who is starting her maternity leave today. We look forward to sharing the exciting news as soon as the baby is born and wish Mrs Murray and her family all the best.
Be Bright, Be Seen
This Sunday the clocks go back, which means it is going to be a lot darker, a lot earlier. To help promote the importance of being seen by cars, we will be holding a ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ day. On Tuesday the 5th of November, when the children return after their half term break, they can come into school dressed as brightly as they can! They can wear: anything bright, fluorescent colours, anything reflective. There will also be an assembly to teach the children the importance of road safety, especially in the darker months.
Parking
Please remember that we are a safer street school and driving around Amersham road at pick up and drop off times is restricted to ensure the safety of the children. Please be mindful and make sure that you drive safely around Amersham Road. There have been a few near misses this half term which could have been a lot more serious. Please take care and protect the children.
FOMS Movie and Munch
Friends of Mead School will be holding a Movie and Munch for pupils to come together to watch
‘Harold and the Purple Crayon’ with their friends.
Tickets are £3 each and can be purchased via your child’s parent pay account. Tickets cannot be purchased on the door, so please book now to avoid disappointment!
