To celebrate black history month Mead has chosen to celebrate black authors. Year 1 read a story called My Beautiful Voice by Joseph Coelho. This is a story from an award winning poet, who tells the tale of a shy child unlocking the power of their own voice through poetry. We used the inspiration from the story and our favourite parts of the book to make our own bookmarks.
