This afternoon, Egypt Class headed out to Forest School, bundled up in lots of warm layers to stay cozy in the chilly weather. Hats, gloves, and scarves were essential, and everyone was excited to spend time outdoors.
The children were curious about the fire triangle, so we talked about the three elements needed for fire: heat, fuel, and oxygen. Using this knowledge, we worked together to light a Kelly Kettle. It took teamwork and patience, but soon we had a fire going!
Once the kettle was ready, we made hot chocolate for everyone to enjoy. It was a well-deserved treat after our efforts.
Being outside and learning new skills made for a brilliant afternoon. Egypt Class can’t wait for their next Forest School session!
