World Book Day in Year 3

A fantastic effort was made by the pupils in Year 3 for World Book Day. We saw some amazing & creative costumes of some of our favourite book characters.
We were so inspired by our current story in Literacy & Language on a mystery at the museum where a dinosaur egg went missing, that we decided to pick some dinosaur stories to theme our day around.
A firm favourite in Scotland Class was 'Dinosaurs Love Underpants' by Claire Freedman.

In maths, we kept our topic of  'Length & Perimeter' but gave the lesson a special dinosaur twist!
The children had a challenge to create different sized perimeters out of different lengths of fencing for a range of dinosaur enclosures. We found lots of different possibilities and the children worked amazingly in their groups.
We look forward to presenting the parents with the same challenge on our next Year 3 Showcase which will happen on March 22nd 2018.
