Year 2 Stay and Read

It was so lovely to see so many parents and carers in year 2 this week listening to children read. Studies show that reading regularly and for pleasure makes a big difference to children’s academic performance. The children so enjoyed reading to different adults as well as reading to their parents and carers in the school setting.

Thank you so much to everyone that came.

"Reading for pleasure is the single biggest factor in success later in life, outside of an education. Study after study has shown that those children who read for pleasure are the ones who are most likely to fulfil their ambitions. If your child reads, they will succeed - it's that simple."
