Update - Friday 12th March 2021

Friday 12th March 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been lovely to see the children in school and with their friends again. Although we still have a number of restrictions in place in school, it is great to have the school community back.

Below is the key information and reminders that should be aware of.

● Masks must be worn by parents on the school site (unless medically exempt).

● Parents must continue to exercise social distancing in and around the school.

● It is a legal requirement that all children come to school (unless unwell, self-isolating from COVID-19 or clinically extremely vulnerable).

● School uniform must be worn. PE kits must be in school.

● Year group bubbles remain in place until further notice.

● School dinners are available. KS2 parents must ensure credit is on the Squid account.

● Breakfast Club is open as usual. Payments must be made in advance via Squid.

● School will remain closed after lunch on Friday (12-50 for KS1 and 1-00 for KS2). Google classroom work will be set for the children to complete at home. Please note that younger children cannot be collected by siblings in KS2.

● Homework Club on Friday afternoon is available for working parents. Please complete the Google Survey to secure a place.

● Children who have been lent Chromebooks should keep them at home to complete their homework and Friday afternoon Google Classroom learning.

Staggered start/finish times remain in place until further notice:

ARP  8-30 start 2-45 finish (12-50 finish on Friday)
YN   8-30 start 2-45 finish (12-50 finish on Friday)
YR   8-40 start 2-55 finish (12-50 finish on Friday)

Y2   8-40 start 2-55 finish (12-50 finish on Friday)
Y3   8-30 start 2-45 finish (1-00 finish on Friday)
Y4   8-40 start 2-55 finish (1-00 finish on Friday)
Y5   8-30 start 2-45 finish (1-00 finish on Friday)
Y6   8-40 start 2-55 finish (1-00 finish on Friday)

Can I remind parents who drive to school to exercise caution in and around Amersham Road. Driving carefully and parking considerately is important to keep our children safe and to maintain good relationships with our neighbours.

Thank you for your support this week and enjoy the weekend.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office or email mail@mead.havering.sch.uk.

Take care and stay safe.
