Dear Parents,
Well done to all our year 6 students who took their SATs this week. They worked incredibly hard and we are very proud of them. Thank you to all the teachers and support staff who administered the SATs and to the parents for supporting your children through this challenging time. I know they have some exciting projects for the rest of the term which I am certain the pupils are going to love! Have a fun day today and enjoy your pizza party!

Good luck to our year 2 pupils and staff who start their KS1 SATs next week!

KS1 Census Day for School Dinners
This is to inform you that all KS1 and Reception pupils will be given a school dinner on Thursday 18th May. There isn’t any charge for this - due to Universal Free School Meals. Pupils can still be packed lunch on the day, but they will also get the free lunch too. The impact is to ensure that our census numbers retain the funding that goes towards the school meals cost.

Year 1 Tropical Wings trip
On Thursday 11th May, the year one pupils went on an amazing adventure to Tropical Wings Zoo.
First of all they were met by some of the zoo keepers who introduced them to some interesting insects. Some children were even brave enough to hold them!
They were then free to explore the park. This included the Butterfly Kingdom where the children felt as though they were in a tropical climate surrounded by beautiful butterflies and birds. They also saw lots of other animals.
The children in Year One were a credit to Mead School. Other visitors at the park even complimented the children on their fantastic behaviour and polite manners.

Well done Year One-We are very proud of you!

Have a fabulous weekend
Yours sincerely,

Mrs L Smith
