Gardening to be done in the EYFS Garden

A busy morning was had by all as we worked on the first bed in the Early Year`s garden area. The bed had to be prepared by digging the soil .Then various children came and prepared the holes so the plants could be placed into the flower bed. There were plenty of volunteers to collect water in the watering can and water the plants as they were put into the garden.
Although all gardens appeal to our senses this garden was prepared with a range of different smelling plants including lavender, rosemary and curry. The children were very proud of their achievements and we talked about the importance of caring for our plants.
