Pupil Parliament visit the Mayor!

Today, a few members of our Pupil Parliament were invited to visit the Mayor! We travelled into Romford on the bus, and arrived at the grand Town Hall. Children were lucky enough to ask the Mayor questions, and find out what being a mayor is like. Using gloves, they even got to hold the mace! They were treated to some juice and snacks before heading back on the bus. 

They all behaved amazingly and should be very proud -  the Mayor even commented on how well behaved the children were!

Mathletics Year 4

King Charles`Coronation Activities

 On Friday 5th May we will be celebrating the Coronation of King Charles 111.We would like to invite the children to come into school wearing red, white and blue clothes and to make a crown or tiara to wear in a school parade. Each year group will work on activities based on one of the Commonwealth countries which will be shared in assemblies. Thank you for your support. 

Year 2- Trip to Langton's Park

 This week the year 2 classes have had an exciting bus ride to Langton's park. The visit was an end to our Science work on 'Living things and their habitats'. We have been looking at microhabitats and larger habitats during our lessons and the living things that live there. Within the park the children explored the lake, pond, woodlands and gardens and identified the living things they found.  They fed the birds, went on a bug hunt, did some pond dipping and searched for leaves in the wooded area, as well as identifying the trees using the leaves they found.  

After lunch there was time to have fun in the adventure park. 

All the children were so well behaved and this was such a lovely experience for them.  Well done everyone!

" I'm going to come back and bring my family here" echoed many children. 

Bugs galore

Within our poetry basket session this week, the children in reception learnt a lovely poem which tied in with our new topic "Growing and changing". Please enjoy this weeks poem called 'bugs'.

Ladybirds in Nursery

 This week we have been busy with ladybirds. We have listened to ladybird stories (The Bad Tempered Ladybird, What the Ladybird Heard and What the Ladybird Heard Next) and have done lots of ladybird linked activities.
