Fruit Salad Year 1

This week has been all about design and technology in year 1. We have been learning all about how to prepare a fruit salad. On Monday we did a taste test to discover what fruits we liked so we knew what to include in our fruit salad. We then designed our fruit salads making sure they were tasty and colorful. We then learned all about how to prepare food safely including washing our hands and tying up our hair.  We filmed ourselves making our fruit salad to create an instruction video. This linked with our computing topic ‘We are TV chefs’. Finally we got to eat our delicious fruit salad.

Melting Snowmen in Nursery

We loved seeing the ice about the outside area. There was just enough to make a very small snowman.

We decided to put it in the fridge but it still melted 😞😞😞

Inspired by this we made our own melting snowman biscuits.
