Duxford

Year 6 had a great time at Duxford Imperial War Museum. They walked through the same hangars and buildings as those who served at RAF Duxford. They explored the different displays and exhibitions of aircraft, tanks and army vehicles as well as seeing what life was like in the trenches. They also saw aircraft take to the skies from the airfield that Spitfires first flew.

Sculptures in RE

In year three, we have been learning about the Sikh religion, and the important concept of commitment. Our children learned some ways a Sikh person might show their commitment to God. We asked our children what they were committed to, and to use their creativity with modelling clay to show us.

Year threes made some wonderful creative objects to show the ideas, people and animals they are committed to!

University of Mead in Year 2

The children are really enjoying their chosen university courses each week this half term. So far, the chefs have made chocolate fruit kebabs, pizzas and iced cupcakes. The artists have explored colour and feelings and made some colour charts, patches and colour bowls. Our athletes have been refining their PE skills.

Well done Year Two!

Hi

University of Mead - Photography Club

Today in photography club, children enjoyed getting out and about in nature! Children used the iPads to take pictures of flowers, trees and wildlife. Using their editing skills, everyone then edited their work ready to share!

University of Mead - BSL

Over the past few weeks the BSL team have been learning how to sign the alphabet, colours, food and drink and animals. Today they played BSL bingo and then they performed the colours of the rainbow.

Their goal by the end of the course is to perform “This is me” from The Greatest Showman.
