Year 3 - Forest School - Week 2

Year 3 had another fun packed afternoon in the forest today. We were climbing, using the hammock, playing games, hunting for elder, making music and trying to make a ladder. We discovered we really need green wood for this to be safe and effective so we will try again next week. We thought a bit about the layers of the forest and the children were fascinated as they looked up and saw the beauty of the forest from a different angle.

Well done Year 3!

Volcano Explosion

On Friday, Year Three experienced a volcanic eruption! Isabel explains the process below:

Each group managed  to explode their own volcano, which was lots of sticky fun!

Y3 Star Writers

In Year 3 we have been learning all about mystery stories! Children have spent the last couple of weeks learning about the features of mystery stories, reading some examples, and finally creating their own! All children have worked hard to build a mysterious story filled with suspense and tension - well done! Our Star Writers; Evelin (Scotland), Amen (Northern Ireland) and Jett (Wales) have produced amazing pieces of work - you should be very proud!
