Year 2 Chefs!

As part of our Design and Technology topic 'Perfect Pizzas' Year 2 have designed, made and eaten pizzas this week.  They have explored healthy eating and created a pizza with healthy toppings. They tasted a variety of breads courtesy of Asda and Liz Brown. Even chocolate bread was sampled by the up and coming chefs and it proved to be a big success.

'This is so delicious I love it' said Moises.

'This is such fun making pizza at school' said Tommy.

Reception Star Writers

In Reception this half term we have been very busy practicing our pencil grip, name-writing and drawing skills. Now we have begun our phonics programme, the children have also been working hard to write their sounds independently.

Well done to our star writers in Reception who have shown fantastic determination, enthusiasm and skill in in writing some of our new sounds.

Year 6 Visit Tesco!

This week year 6 have been visiting Tesco on the hunt for products that have been imported from South America. Everyone was surprised at the amount of products they found.

Bailey said "I really enjoyed the trip, and learnt that a lot of products we buy are imported from South America!"

Alexandra told me she was "surprised to discover blueberries were not grown in the UK and were actually brought in from Peru."
