Well done to Yvie, Vanesa and Hamit for taking part in the new learning challenge and creating a Rainforest model. The models looked amazing and the children really enjoyed making them. We look forward to seeing more of the learning challenge homework over the next few weeks.

Reception Reading Morning

A litle reminder we will be holding our first Reading morning of the spring term this Friday (25th)  from 8.30- 9am. We are asking parents to come and join their child in their classes for at least 5 minutes reading a book to them or with them. We are continuing to promote a child's love of reading and we hope it will provide an opportunity for you to be able to share in this.

Year 5 Spellings - Spring 1 Week 2

Dear year 5 parents and children,

Please find below this week's spellings.

The spellings below will be tested on Friday 25th January 2019. This week the spellings focus on the suffixes 'ence' and 'ency.' Please encourage your child to look up the meanings of each word in a dictionary, as using a dictionary confidently is a year 5 target. In addition, merits and/or certificates will be awarded for putting each spelling into a sentence. 

Eco-Warriors Request

The Mead University group Eco-Warriors have been busy upcycling. For this week's Mead University they are planning to make pencil cases out of plastic bottles. If you have any plastic bottles at home please send these into school and ask your children to bring them to Northern Ireland Class - house points will be given!
