Dear Parents/Carers,
We would like to extend our thanks to all those parents who have already
started encouraging their children to come in of a morning independently. From
tomorrow we are asking all parents to encourage a higher level of independence and
allow their children to walk to their classes by themselves and completing early
morning routines independently.
We will continue with our topic of ‘Growing and changing’ by reading the
traditional tale ‘Jack and the beanstalk’. The children will have the
opportunity to plant their very own beanstalks, which we will then replant in
our outside area and continue to watch them grow.
This week we will be receiving our caterpillars and we will be discussing
the life cycle of a butterfly. The children will have an opportunity to see first-hand
the different stages of metamorphoses a caterpillar goes through to become a
butterfly.
Thank you for all of the junk modelling you provided, the children thoroughly
enjoyed creating their very own mini beast habitats.
A little reminder Wednesday is our PE day, please ensure your child has
their named PE kit in school.
When/if we have warmer weather could you please ensure your child comes to
school with a sun hat and water bottle.

Learning Challenge
Each half term we will be setting our pupils a challenge related to their
learning. We believe that it is important for us to provide guidance for
parents on how their children's learning can be extended at home. Thank you to
all the families who completed this last term we hope to see
The learning challenge will include either a nursery rhyme, famous person,
illustration or a piece of music. Please talk to your child about the challenge
and help them to engage in their learning. The children can choose how they
present their learning challenge outcomes to their teacher or class.
