Charlie Wilson Visit

We were so excited to have the storyteller Charlie Wilson return to Mead this week to tell stories to our Reception children. Charlie has been a professional storyteller since 1990 and before that an English teacher. He has visited thousands of schools. The children in Reception were absolutely captivated by the stories that Charlie told. They listened brilliantly to the storytelling parts and loved interacting with Charlie when it was their turn to join in. All the adults said how good it was and how inspirational it was listening to Charlie. A wonderful time was had by all.

Year 3 Star Writers

Congratulations to Year 3 Star writers! 

Teddy Button in Wales, Harper Tisbury in Scotland and Karla Nightingill in Norther Ireland 

These children were able to write fantastic parts to an episode. They used excellent sentence structure, correct punctuation, and challenged themselves using different sentence types such as 2A, 3 ed and relative clause sentences. 

Well done writers! Keep up the good work!
