Weekly Newsletter - 25/11/22

Dear Parents and Carers,

Christmas Fayre

Don’t forget to join us tomorrow for the Christmas Fayre. The school will be open between 11am-4pm for you to come and join in the festive fun! There will be something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Poppy Appeal

This week we received a call to say thank you for the overwhelming generosity of parents and carers for raising £856.31 for the Poppy Appeal.

Assembly with PC Edwards

On Monday 28th November, children in KS2 (Year 3,4,5 and 6) will have an assembly workshop led by our Safer Schools Link, PC Edwards. The session will focus on how to stay safe online and what to do if you receive malicious content on phones and devices. I am sure you will agree, keeping our children safe both physically and online is of the utmost importance and we must work together to ensure our children are using any online platforms appropriately and safely.

The school holiday meal scheme for Christmas

Applications for the Christmas School Holiday Meal Scheme will officially open today and will close on Friday 2 December at 5pm. The scheme allows eligible families to apply for £30 per child to purchase food to replace the meals their child would have received during the school day. Helping us ensure no child goes hungry during the school holiday. You can check your eligibility on the council website. If your circumstances have changed or you have had another child join school in the current academic year that you have not made an application for please check the new claims criteria on the council’s website. Details about the scheme and application form when live will be available on the Council’s website. www.havering.gov.uk/mealsupport

Christmas Information

Over the next week you will start to receive more information about Christmas Performances from each year group.

Christmas Dinner Day will be on Friday 16th December so there will be a change to the menu during that week. On this day children are invited to wear their Christmas jumpers. This is not a non-uniform day and all children should wear their school uniform.

The last day of the term is Tuesday 20th December and school will end at the normal time of 3pm (KS1) and 3:10pm (KS2)
