Reception Newsletter Summer 2 Week 7

                                                                                                                     Summer 2    14.07.19

Dear Parents/Carers,

This is our last newsletter of the academic year and what a fantastic year it has been! We would like to extend our thanks to all of our parents and families for your continued support this year, but most importantly your children who we have seen flourish in their reception year and we know will continue to as they move into Year 1.

A little reminder that there is still time to purchase your child's class photo. The deadline for free delivery is today (14th) visit https://www.carmeljane.co.uk/ Reference MPC9

With this warm weather set to continue please remember to apply sun cream to your child before school and if you want to send their named tube in the children will have the opportunity to reapply their cream before lunchtime. Please also send your child in with a sun hat and a bottle of water and we will talk to the children about drinking plenty of water to keep hydrated.

We had a busy week last week and all the children thoroughly enjoyed their picnic at Central park. It was also a lovely opportunity to welcome the current nursery children who will be moving into Reception in September.

Viv from Harold Hill library came in last week to discuss the 'Space race' reading challenge. It would be great to see as many of you taking part in the Summer Reading challenge that has now begun at all of the Havering libraries. We look forward to awarding lots of medals when we come back in the Autumn term.

With just 5 days left we will be thinking about our Reception year and continuing sharing memories and thinking about change and moving on.

 Looking at our week ahead:

We hope you enjoyed reading your child's report. We would very much appreciate you completing the parent's response page as we very much value your feedback and if you would like to discuss anything please attend our drop-in session after school on Monday.
